Hi, my name is Rachel and I’m fundraising for my bunny, Puffy. He has had a wound on his foot for 9 months now that developed from placing too much weight on one side after developing arthritis. Despite proper care and bi-weekly wound care at the specialist, it has not healed. He now has a resistant infection and there is concern that the reason for such a long ordeal is that he may have developed cancer. Best course is to do a biopsy to find out. There is also a possibility that is has become proliferative scar tissue that is now interfering with healing, and removing the lesion could be curative once the skin grows over in time. Our boy needs relief and we need answers to know the best course of action for him. But after so many months of paying for specialty care, a couple hospitalizations and compounded medications, we could really use some help.

Puffy is the sweetest guy you will ever meet. It was always my dream to share my home with a free roam Continental Giant. I thought I would never get the opportunity as they never seem to come into rescue. But this big beautiful boy came into care in January of 2022. It was meant to be. We bonded immediately and he quickly integrated into the family, sleeping in bed, taking the kids snacks, guarding the kitchen, and chilling with the dog. He has been a huge part of our family and we are so grateful we were chosen to be his people.
