Help Prypyat get his Exploratory surgery
Hi, my name is Yanira. I’m trying to raise my for my rabbit Prypyat. Prypyat is kind of a new addition to the family. He found him outside our house June 13, 2022. He is a very sweet boy always wanting everyones attention. Last year April 2025 went to the ER for possible GI Stasis. He was doing really bad and his blood sugar was high. ER Vet didn’t believe he’d make it through the night. Due to financial issues we couldn’t afford keeping over night and decided to wait 4 more hours until his primary vet open to transfer him. Long story short he had Exploratory surgery and got a hair ball removed. He was going so well until this year January 2026 had another episode of GI stasis. We had a follow up with his primary vet and CT scan showed mass in his intestines. Unsure what it is exactly but until we get surgery done, it seems like prypyat will go through GI stasis on and off. He has been pretty good the past couple of month until today May 2026. Its time for his exploratory surgery before he has another episode. I could have afford surgery but unfortunately his Care credit got cancelled without notice.
Prypyat means a lot. My mom loves him and shes really picky with pets. Friends and family love prypyat as well. He is a sweet boy, always makes us smile when down, always looks for you when he hasn’t seen you in a while. For being a street bunny to a bougie bunny his personality is amazing always happy.
