Episode 1: Welcome Home
Let me take this back to the beginning – one year ago on July 4, 2021.
The days leading up to the adoption of the two amazing bunnies, Yuki and Forrest, were stressful. Not ever being a bunny owner or knowing what to even do, it was a gamble and a blessing at the same time. Once I contacted SaveSomeBunny in Orange County, they had me fill out the adoption packet with pictures of where the two buns would be living. I waited nervously to see if I qualified to be a new bun parent according to their application process. I got the email that I was approved to adopt. They sent me pictures of the two and I was in love. I started the process of bunny proofing the house and their new room to enjoy.
Upon picking them up, I drove home as slowly as possible seeing as I was driving my newborns home from the hospital for the first time.
I did not have pet insurance or my own vet, and very limited resources except for SaveSomeBunny in Orange County in case something were to happen, but they were so far away. Needless to say I was not heavily prepared for these complex, exotic animals.
From the day they came through the door, I completely dedicated my life to these two beautiful creatures.
So the reason for these episodes is to tell my story through the eyes of the rabbits, and my journey in creating a complete rabbit-only platform to help future bun parents and existing bun parents to get the help and assistance I didn’t have at the beginning. And that’s when Rabbit Savior was born.
These episodes will consist of diets, rabbit resources, rabbit insurance, and how not everything portrayed from the media and the traditional way the mass population thinks the rabbit eats and lives is true. we’re here to start a new narrative and change the public perception on how the rabbit can truly live a correct and happy life. We’re here to give the rabbit the voice they’ve never had before.
So hop down this way with Yuki & Forrest as they start a new revolution. Bunnies Unite.
