Help PJ Get Back on 3 Feet!!
🐰 **Please help me give PJ his freedom back.** 💜 PJ came into my life after my dad was killed in a hit-and-run. My dad was a stand-up comedian whose mission in life was making people laugh, and somehow PJ, who is named after him, picked up that job. He is funny, stubborn, curious, and full of personality. When I was grieving, this little rabbit gave me a reason to laugh again. Now PJ needs help. His badly damaged leg can no longer be saved, and his vet believes amputation will give him the best chance to be comfortable, mobile, and back to living his very active bunny life. His surgery is estimated at **$2,300–$3,000**, and an incredibly generous anonymous donor through our vet has already offered **$2,000**. We are trying to raise the remaining balance and related care costs. If you can donate, share, or simply help get PJ’s story in front of more people, it would mean so much to us. PJ helped carry me through one of the hardest times of my life. Now I just want to carry him through this. 🐇💜

PJ came into my life when I was trying to figure out how to live in a world without my dad in it. I named him after my dad, who was a stand-up comedian and believed there was almost nothing in life that couldn’t be made a little better by making someone laugh. Somehow, PJ seemed to inherit that job. He is funny, stubborn, curious, completely ridiculous, and endlessly full of personality. During a time when grief made it hard to find joy in anything, PJ gave me reasons to smile again. Caring for him gave me something to pour my love into when I had more grief than I knew what to do with. He could never replace my dad, and that was never his job. But he became part of the life I learned to build afterward. In his own tiny way, he helped bring laughter back into my home and reminded me that love doesn’t disappear when someone dies. Sometimes it just finds a new place to live. PJ healed a heart he never broke. That is what he means to me. He is family, comfort, laughter, and one of the little pieces of light that helped lead me through the darkest time of my life.
